Where we are

Sliema is a busy town located centrally on the Eastern side of Malta. It enjoys stunning views of the capital city Valletta on one side and of the open sea on the other.

Sliema, once a fishing village, has developed from a summer resort for the rich families of Valletta to the commercial and entertainment centre that it is today. It is also a major residential area and houses several hotels. It is a great place for shopping, eating out and relaxing in one of the numerous cafes found all along the seaside. The Park Hotel is located in the core of all this. It is situated a few metres from the sea, and just across the road from the seaside promenade. At a short walking distance from the hotel one can get buses to all parts of the island as well as water taxis to the capital city and the harbour.

The seaside promenade, which runs for several kilometres spanning from Gzira to St. Julians is full of shops, restaurants, banks, and internet cafes and is also ideal for walking and jogging. The shoreline is rocky, but nevertheless ideal for swimming and sunbathing by the clearest sea of the Mediterranean.

Sliema is the perfect place to catch buses to other towns and villages, to catch the water taxi to Valletta, where you can visit the museums, palaces and historical places associated with the Knights of St.John, and boat trips round the island.

Paceville and St. Julians, Malta's heart for nightlife and entertainment is at a walking distance from Sliema. There you can visit the best discotheques, nightclubs, bars, restaurants, bowling alley and a 17-screen cinema complex, amongst a number of 5 star hotels. There is also a Casino.
